The Pager Bombing in Lebanon .Since the Al-Aqsa operation on October 7, 2023, and the Zionist attack on Gaza, the Lebanese Hezbollah has continued to direct its various weapons towards northern occupied Palestine, targeting Zionist military installations and settlements, which has led to a direct confrontation between the two parties. At the same time, the Zionist entity has bombed areas in southern Lebanon and Hezbollah headquarters. However, the most important thing that distinguishes the confrontation between the Zionist entity and Hezbollah is that the United States and its allies around the world were on the same side as the Zionist entity, which enabled it to benefit from the expertise of these countries and their companies, especially those specializing in the field of various communications, which provided the enemy with an opportunity to target the leaders of the resistance by tracking their communications and placing eavesdropping devices and tracking them through agents inside and outside Lebanon. The Zionist military operations led to the targeting of a number of resistance leaders in Hezbollah in Lebanon and Syria, but the cyber operations and electronic warfare took on wider scopes, the latest of which was the operation to blow up a number of communication devices (pagers) belonging to members of Hezbollah or citizens on September 17, as well as solar energy devices and other communication devices. Some sources reported that they were equipped by a European country, some Japanese, and Taiwanese. These explosions resulted in the martyrdom of numerous citizens, the injuries of thousands of others, and the destruction of certain buildings and cars. According to most analyses, these are terrorist operations linked to an international intelligence network and various companies that contributed to the success of this operation, as most of the explosive communications devices were manufactured and supplied by countries allied with the United States. The wide scope of the operation and its inclusion of more than one device indicate clear American complicity. The goal of the current operation in Lebanon came after the Zionist entity failed for nearly a year to achieve any of its goals in Gaza, as well as its failure to put an end to targeting the entity’s cities in northern occupied Palestine, especially in the Galilee, which most of its residents have abandoned, and the Zionist entity does not have any clear and successful plan to return them, as well as the increasing internal pressure on Prime Minister (Benjamin Netanyahu) to conclude a deal with the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, and release the remaining prisoners, especially after the failure of the occupation army to free its prisoners, or to know their whereabouts, despite all the weapons it possesses, advanced equipment, and great Western and American support, and the return of the residents of the northern cities. In fact, some of the occupation army’s operations led to the killing of a number of its prisoners, which aroused the resentment of the Israeli street against it. The Zionist enemy government’s carrying out of this terrorist act and the bombing of civilian and military communications devices in Lebanon, which led to the martyrdom of a number of children, women, and elderly people, and the destruction of buildings, aims to carry out an operation to draw attention to an imaginary victory in front of angry citizens, especially the families of prisoners, and is trying to prove that its entity still has the ability to continue the war, despite its clear failure in Gaza.
The Zionist entity also aims to incite the Lebanese street against the resistance in Hezbollah and weaken it internally in an attempt to stop targeting its military headquarters and settlements in occupied Palestine, as well as the process of sending messages to the party that its continuation of the war alongside Gaza will cost it a lot, especially its popular base.
The operation also aims to expose Hezbollah leaders and members and target them with minimal losses through an operation that has a distant connection to the Zionist entity.
Although the attack embarrassed Hezbollah, and the operation was extensive and had great destructive effects, it did not change Hezbollah’s strength and its goals in continuing to target enemy settlements and headquarters in northern occupied Palestine, as Hezbollah continued its military operations. Despite the state of confusion in Lebanon, the Zionist enemy did not benefit from it and did not undertake any major military action against Hezbollah, which indicates the weakness of its ability to attack southern Lebanon or establish buffer zones as before; even the meeting of the small war council headed by Netanyahu was held in a military base and in an underground shelter, which indicates the fear of the expansion of the war.
